Softscaping is all of the living elements of a landscape design, such as grass, plants, shrubs and trees. Not only does softscaping look beautiful, but it can also protect hardscaping components from the wind and sun, provide a home for wildlife and birds, hide ugly (but necessary) home components (such as a gas meter) and produce food; plus, softscaping is also the perfect complement to hardscaping.
